The employees were very pleasant and offered excellent services. The location was beautiful, steps away from a Roman Catholic church. Plus, it was short walk to the cathedral, tapestry museum, and the high Street, Close to Bayeux Tapestry, and the WWII beaches and memorials.

The breakfast was plentiful and absolutely superb with the best coffee in France and all the food was good. I had brand-new, decent sized room complete with enormous bed and the garden and a pull out coach. The location was peaceful and comfy, just 5 min walk from Bayeux Embroidery. This hotel was in a very pleasant area near to centre of town and the cathedral, tapestry museum, and the high Street.

Actually everything was lovely, my next choice again in Bayeux. Plentiful and superb breakfast options, the food was good. The room was brand-new and spotless, liked that. Its location quite close to Bayeux Embroidery was peaceful and the best. Also, the area was very pleasant.

We had a fantastic stay at this hotel in the center of town. Cleanliness was top-notch, and the hotel facilities were great. We were pleasantly surprised by the convenient parking and the hotel's central location, which made it easy to explore the charming village and enjoy excellent restaurants. The hotel was fabulous and clean, its location was incredible to all attractions in Bayeux, excellent service. Booked a room with particularly nice views of the cathedral.

Very friendly reception staff. The room is in good quality and good design. It is easy to walk around this small town, and with beautiful scene, and it is facing the church. We even got upgrade to a junior suite. The breakfast is excellent. Thank you.

During our stay, we were impressed with the hotel's convenient location, as it was close to the pick-up points for the group tours we joined. The staff, particularly Yasmani, provided exceptional service, making sure we were well taken care of. In the evenings, Yasmani served us delightful cocktails and even organized a calvados tasting for us. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and we enjoyed the beautiful decorations in the bathrooms. The breakfast was also a highlight, with delicious eggs that were mentioned in one of the reviews.

One minor drawback was the staff's tendency to be overly inquisitive about our activities and overly pushy about making reservations for us.

Everything! We stayed at the hotel briefly in September and were overwhelmed by the ambience of the hotel as well as the service, knowledge and courtesy of the staff. The hotel is positioned centrally in Bayeux and has a secure car park. The Bayeux Tapestry Museum is a stone's throw away, the cathedral is within easy walking distance as are all the shops and restaurants. When we returned recently for four days we were delighted to be able to book in at The Villa Lara. Anyone looking for a stylish, boutique hotel which combines the latter with old fashioned charm and care should choose this hotel.
